Regular rotation evens out tread wear across all four tires, which helps them last longer, keeps handling predictable, and protects the investment you already made in a set of tires. We do it at your location — home, office, or wherever the car is parked — on your schedule, with no shop visit required.

What's included

• Removal and repositioning of all four tires following the rotation pattern appropriate for your vehicle: front-to-back, X-pattern, or the modified pattern required for directional tires
• Lug nut torque check to your vehicle manufacturer's spec after every wheel is reinstalled
• Tire pressure check and adjustment to your vehicle's recommended PSI, not just a generic number
• Visual tread depth and wear check on all four tires, so you know roughly how much life is left before you're shopping for new ones
• A quick look for uneven wear patterns (cupping, feathering, one-sided wear) that can point to an alignment or suspension issue worth having checked elsewhere

Why it matters

Uneven wear from skipping rotations is one of the most common reasons tires wear out earlier than they should. Front tires typically carry more of the steering, braking, and — on front-wheel-drive vehicles — driving load, which wears them faster than the rear tires if they're never swapped. Left unrotated long enough, that uneven wear can also mean replacing tires two at a time instead of getting even life out of a full set, which usually costs more over the life of the tires.

A rotation every 5,000–7,500 miles, or roughly every other oil change, is the usual manufacturer recommendation — check your owner's manual for your specific vehicle's interval, since some performance and staggered-fitment vehicles have different guidance.

How the visit works

Call or text with your location and vehicle, and we'll confirm timing. When our technician arrives, we jack the vehicle safely, pull all four wheels, rotate them into the correct pattern for your vehicle, and torque everything back down to spec. We'll also check and adjust pressures and give you a quick read on remaining tread life while the wheels are off. You don't need to do anything to prepare — just have the vehicle somewhere we can safely get a jack under it.

Rotation patterns we follow

Not every vehicle rotates the same way. Standard front-to-back rotation works for most non-directional tires on vehicles without staggered fitments (different-sized tires front versus rear). Directional tires — the kind with a tread pattern designed to roll one way — get rotated front-to-back on the same side rather than crossed. Staggered setups, common on some performance and rear-wheel-drive vehicles, often can't be rotated front-to-back at all because the front and rear tires are different sizes; we'll tell you if that's the case with your vehicle rather than force a rotation that doesn't apply.

Pairing rotation with other services

Frequently asked

How do I know if my tires actually need rotating? If you can't remember your last rotation, or your owner's manual says you're past the recommended mileage, it's worth having done. Uneven wear (more tread on one tire than the others) is the clearest visual sign.

Does rotation include balancing? Not automatically — rotation repositions the tires, balancing corrects vibration. If you're feeling a vibration at speed, mention it when you call and we can address balance the same visit.

Can you rotate tires on a staggered-fitment vehicle? If your vehicle has different-sized tires front and rear, a standard front-to-back rotation isn't possible — we'll explain your options when we look at the vehicle.

A standard four-tire rotation takes our technician about 30–45 minutes on-site, depending on wheel type and whether anything else comes up during the pressure and wear check.
